I'm sure that works for you, but (IMO), I like to call the MM's out so I can get some indication as to their positions. In other words, it allows me to observe the observers!

I believe they control the price movements, and their movements suggest to me, how desperate or non desperate they can be to get shares, or how dry the float could be or not be.

Information is everything in my camp, and doing nothing gets me nothing in this cat and mouse game. I can usually make a pretty good assumption about a situation if I have two or more facts. (The more the better)

By using this method, I am usually around 85-90 percent accurate with my assumptions and that is good enough for me. Everybody has do their own process. Just guessing alone, does not work for me. Good luck to you though!
