I haven't driven my car for a while, and the other day I took it for a spin for about an hour. When I returned home, I put a meter on the battery and discovered it had 13.33 volts. This seemed like an odd value, so I checked my husband's car battery after about a forty minute drive. Using the same meter, his battery had 11.86 volts.

I expected that both batteries would have similar voltages. After all, both cars were driven long enough that the batteries should've been charged fully. I drove in daylight, headlights off, and without electric accessories running.

Both cars crank really well and start almost instantly.

Does anyone have an opinion about the differing battery voltages?

Cheers, PW.
