The actual trial with GOOG to decide the verdict of their infringing and amount of damages owed over the life of the patents. There has been no decision on whether they are infringing or what they owe in reference to that infringement. The PTAB has just upheld their patents after careful and thorough review of the patent and its claims which was set in place by Google in order to invalidate their patent. The PTAB did not give up a decision which GOOG had hoped it would as most patents getting destroyed in the PTAB process, therefore they appealed to the Federal Circuit Appeals Court and then upheld the PTAB decision as it is the standard for patent review. Now their last delay tactic is a writ of certiorari to SCOTUS to try and get them to review the decisions by the PTAB and the appeals court. They very likely will toss this writ of certiorari if indeed GOOG decides to take that route.
