I am learning how to read this stuff
I have read nearly everything Nio has published, asked a lot of questions, and am getting better at figuring out what it all means. I read the article and studied the Imperial Mining site. A few things I picked up:
This article is “promoted content.” I think that’s a fancy term for paid advertising. The deposit has been “modeled” to extend a Kilometer deep. I suspect modeled means a geologist said probably. They list data from a total of seven bore holes. The deepest one is 212 m. The others are all less than 200. Nio has data proving our deposit extends to at least 2000ft. FWIW: I asked Scott if it was likely to extend a lot deeper and he said probably. I looked at Google maps. Elk Creek is a major urban area compared to this place. There are no roads to this place. I suspect the reason they are test drilling in winter is snowmobile is the only means of transportation. I found no PEA or anything subsequent to a PEA on their site. All of us longs are starting to get a deeper understanding of how much time elapses between actual issuance of a PEA and mine construction. The article says the Sc can be fed directly into aluminum mills. I am pretty sure that is not true. You need master alloy. “The deposit lies near several major aluminum producers.” Kind of depends on what you mean by near. All in Quebec? Yes. Connected to each other by paved roads or any road? No.
