I don't think so. I can't believe a company buying a shell wouldn't look into the SEC financials filings etc.

I definitely don't feel good about what's happened here, but this scenario is extremely unlikely.

I don't believe this new owner would take control of this ticker without using it. I'm not saying it will be good for shareholders, but they have an agenda with it.
