How did I end up in the OTC with CYDY?

Now that is a story. With business I remember almost all details, so this is complicated.

When I started as a Rookie broker I was the youngest ever brought into that business in Portland history. I was right out of PSU a University that those that work for a living attend verses Yale or Harvard where silver spoons attend. Hope I nail some readers.

I started doing what I was told by my new boss 40 years older than me. Decent guy just not connected to the world of 1972.

After 3 months of zero income two young brokers with huge experience; one 6 months and one with one year sat me down and asked to see what I had been doing.

They were shocked and they told me what to do the following day which happened to be the last day of the pay period.

The results shocked the entire firm and I was off to the races. One of those two young brokers became my closets business ally. The other my best Pal.

This was close to the time when Margin was first utilized. I became an expert as well as one of the USA first CBOE option writers. No kidding. Numbers were my thing. At the same time I became the only Portland arb investor.

Example, I controlled Pan Am for around there months buying the Convertible bonds and shorting the stock, converting the bonds to deliver. I was the market. I had the ability to memorize all telephone numbers, called our trader on the NYSE directly to enter large bond orders. I discovered that arbs were virtually free money. I wont bore you with numbers or stories. Refer to Union Carbide in January 1976 if you want to see a gigantic home run free lunch investment.

I retired at the old age of 33. Did arbs only for my own account.

My Pal, the fellow with one year more experience than myself became the CEO in a company that the two of us owned 10%. No kidding, yes SEC filings. The company self liquidated. All involved my huge profits.

He then started his own broker firm.

He called me and asked / demanded that I come in and give a talk with all of his new brokers and verify how I did it.

So there I am talking with rookies and I notice a few ask highly intelligent questions.

I became a close Pal with two, that was in 1976.

Two of those brokers are now top dog brokers at Paulson. One asked three years ago to go to the CYDY dog and pony show.

I did, but I have poor hearing ability and I could not follow any of the info. The next year I was asked again. I do it again, same deal, cant hear and what I can discern is so complicated for a former stock dog that it is out of my area. I pass again.

Then I was called last November. It was insisted that I listen to a recorded talk by Nader. I did. Still could not follow. Put my Grandson on the job. He could not understand but he had a secret weapon, a set of Bose Noise Cancelation Head set.

He played it over and over. Took notes. I read the notes.

I was shocked. I started to understand. Studied this board for hours and hours.

Pulled the trigger. Bought the first shares in the 30 cent range. Next shares in the low 1$ range and so on. I study this board every night and morning. The research and opinions of many is priceless. Its like sitting in a conference room of brokers in the 1970s. There is one fellow who is a one man research firm.

Short answer.

I have a Pal that I helped start in this business who asked me to investigate CYDY. We both love the deal. In my opinion, we will both make untold millions. Be aware, I am looking forward 10 plus years. And yes, I expect to still be above ground.
