Not at all! I know someone wrote an article on a blog trying to make it sound like the SEC was targeting him and other custodian seekers. I think they were fear mongering, to either get cheaper shares in other tickers that weren't suspended, or were short on the others, trying to create a sell off.
There is no telling what some of these fraudster's motives are, other than to try to make money off of other people's losses. Where there is money to be made; there will always be someone trying to take it illegally.
