What are the unusual factors involved (in favor of) receiving funding for a COVID trial? Because at any other time we would be counting on the usual channels for funding.. and a MUCH LONGER process.

1. At what other time in History do you recall having virtually every Government in the world looking for the same solution? Literally Billions of dollars ready to spend.
2. At what other time in (your) History have you been an owner of a company on the "short list" to receive funding due to EXCELLENT data (data that was collected by those who have a connection with the entity handing out funds?)
3. At what other time in History will Government funds (Grant(s)) basically guarantee an expedited process - which may include fast tracking and additional incentives (milestones) to virtually guarantee success if the data continues to prove out?

This situation I find myself in.. I personally find extraordinary. And a little bit humbling - because as much as I've been a believer in the Science there is NO WAY any of us could have seen this coming.

This is just my opinion, but when I see others treating this as just another "trade" - talking as if they've been in this situation before.. I personally, completely disagree with that sentiment. This is a unique, anomaly that I don't expect to ever see again. Still not 100 percent guaranteed of the outcome - but imo the best speculation I have ever seen. In large part due to 2 things; 1. The Science 2. The perfect set of circumstances which have converged in this exact time in History.

What are the odds?
