I think you have the warrants concept right. I would only add that there's a three year time period as a warrant-holder to exercise (convert) your warrants into shares too. That means if the strike price has already been met you can wait until we come closer to the three year period is up.

What will Treasury shares be worth in another 3 1/2 or 4 years? They could be significantly higher than $1.50 IMO and you could exercise them then if You so chose to do so.

The "regular" Treasury shares we will be getting are in essence "free shares" we get when the transaction is completed. Those shares should be priced at whatever the share price is on the closing date of the transaction. Hopefully much higher than they are now.
