The FDA and drug approval process no longer exists to benefit citizens of the US and world. It has been tailor crafted by big pharma lobbyists over the course of decades.

BARDA and other emergency initiatives/measures are not there to advance the best drug candidates that cannot proceed without support. These things are slush funds to be drawn from by the pharma donor class.

If we're lucky enough to get a paltry grant for some mouse/monkey tests we will need to post some blow out results to get enough for clinical trials. Otherwise, we're going to have to partner with a big pharma to either get BARDA money or take part in their for-profit venture fund.

We all know how that goes. One for IPIX, One for BP, one for IPIX, two for BP, one for IPIX, five for BP...

It's pay to play and BP will enjoy the lion's share of Brilacidin profits one way or another. Enjoy the scraps, peasants. Don't like it? Fine. Brilacidin can sit on the shelf until the patent expires or IPIX runs out of money.
