Aethlon Medical ( AEMD ) on Thursday posted a net loss of $1.87 per share for the fiscal year ended March 31, compared with a loss of $5.13 per share a year earlier.

Government contract revenue totaled $650,187 for the year, up from $229,625 last year. Meanwhile, operating costs and expenses were about $6.6 million, up from $6.2 million a year earlier.

As of March 31, the company had about $9.6 million in cash balance.
