I agree. My experiences with RS have also been less than great and the companies that did them always thought they were doing the right thing. I have never benefited from a RS. Sure hope it won't be necessary. What I have noticed with share buy backs is that the company does not have to spend a lot of money to have a big impact. As soon as a company appears to value the stock enough to buy it back traders often jump in and the price jumps.
