That's definitely a concern. I pay way more attention to hospitalizations and deaths than diagnosed cases, simply because the case comparisons are apples to oranges since more people with fewer symptoms are now being tested.

It may be that hospitals are admitting people with less severe symptoms than a month ago - simply because they can - but I haven't heard that is the case. The ICU numbers are concerning though. The most certain number is deaths. Nobody can argue very effectively with a comparison of deaths. We'll know those numbers very soon.
