How do you explain Italy? They are still locked down, are you living under the rock? Their older population got wiped out and they were able to stop the spread by shutting the country down completely. The only way they can beat this pandemic is by testing continuously. Why are their stadium empty for their beloved soccer games? Why is there new protocol for all their players and staff to be tested every single day? It’s because they know the virus is still there and will be for a long time. To beat this virus, there will have to be testing for everyone - yes, you read that correctly - every single person will need to be tested if they want to eradicate COVID19. It won’t just go away and vaccine won’t be available anytime soon - even when vaccine is available, it most likely won’t work very well.
