Due to the pandemic circumstances and our assurances from govt that things were being done with all haste and $50MM-$100MM being chump change to our spendthrifts in politics, most thought the grant application being submitted with the RBL (remember, that is a govt lab), especially for a PAN-CORONA investigation (meaning they found something pretty special across the whole spectrum of corona viruses, not just CV19) that it would result in a grant within a matter of a few weeks. We are now over 2 weeks and just shy of 3 so many believe it could be any day now.

Also looking like Trump needs a good news bulletin re: CV19 to help with his poll numbers and getting a human trial with some results by election day means they have to get going now to set it up and that takes funds. Most of us believe Brilacidin is THE leading drug to be able to be turned into a formidable treatment for CV19 and the Trump admin should jump on it with both feet.

But in reality, nobody knows. We could still be weeks away, but the vast majority of people don't believe that IMO.
