KBLB failed to indicate any awareness of prior efforts or to distinguish their work from those efforts. This can be done without revealing patentable secrets.

You indicate that KBLB is aware of the efforts of China, but that isn't obvious from any of their PRs. "Our approach, which differs from previously published efforts, should prove to be more effective." Now people at least know you are aware that others have worked in this area, rather than looking like you have re-invented the wheel.

Without these assurances, investors have to wonder something they should not have to wonder about.

Again, KBLB could have invented something new, different, powerful. Just tell people that. Don't make them wonder.
