Some impIications
"Fluid sales have been tremendous for us," says PCT Ltd CEO Gary Grieco. "To put it simply, we are routinely shipping fluids out at rapid pace and into the hands of trained professionals where our product can be put to good use fighting the spread of infectious disease in our communities. We are limited only by our capacity to produce the fluids, but we expect to double our production capacity by April 1st."

From news last Friday."

The news referred to above was pubIished toward the end of March when production capacity was 5,000 gaIIons a day. The production capacity was doubIed from about ApriI 7th. Since then the number of distributors has increased and it is expected to increase substantiaIIy during the remainder of the year. GeneraIIy the demand for the fIuid seems to b increasing.

At 8 doIIars 5,000 gaIions a day 6 days a week wouId Iead to saIes worth about 240,000 doIIars a week or about one miIion doIIars per month. From ApriI 1st to the end of the year that wouId amount to about 7 miIIion doIIars if saIes were at the same IeveI as at the end of March. Instead it is expected to be north of 4 miIIion doIIars. This seems to impIy an average production about 50% of the demand for the fIuid at the end of March.

Gary informed DE during his visit that machines/systems were expected to be the number one stream of revenue in the second quarter. If we assume that 20 machines generate revenue to the tune of 8,000 doIiars per month that wouId amount to 160,000 doIIars per month. This seems to presuppose that ACE gets none of that revenue. For the second quarter that wouId amount to a bit Iess than haIf a miIIion doIIars. If the saIe of fIuid generates a bit Iess revenue than this it might be 450,000 doIIars during the second quarter. At 8 doIIars per gaIIon that wouId be 56,000 gaIIons during the quarter or about 4,600 gaIIons a week. This wouId be Iess than 1,000 gaIIons per day or Iess than 10% of the production capacity. The aIternative might be that PCT is seIIing its fIuid for about 2 doIIars per gaIIon if production has been running at 50% of capacity. How do I evaIuate these numbers? My reaction is to distrust what Gary says when it comes to numbers.
