And there you have the crux of a major problem..... We've lost our ability to laugh at ourselves. Every single group, be it Christians, be it one armed blind pirates, etc...... small groups to large, want everything. Well, our government, our society cannot protect every group. We do the best we can, but we get bogged down by all of the special interests.
As far as not seeing these jokes 5 years ago? Sureley you jest.... I went to a private Catholic school growing up.... These jokes were around then. Heck, even the nuns and priests joked about them. So, if you are looking for an apology because I may have hurt your feelings, or you feel I disrespected your religion, you're not going to get one. It doesn't matter what another says about your religion, what matters is what you believe. If you believe in God or any higher power then he knows that..... You don't have to wear it on your sleeve and you don't have to try and "protect" it. As I said, lighten up.
