There are powerful political forces that believe we have have enough knowledge and tools that the Federal Reserve and printing money, if done right, can tweak the economy when necessary to prevent the excess and bubbles along with inflation and keep the economy stable. It is a battle between them and those who believe in the gold standard. Watching to see who wins out.
