Agreed. There were discussions a while back, about the possibility of waking up and finding TVIX no longer trading for whatever reasons. It was always a possibility that this could happen, and lucky for us all there are many options to make money with a market decline.

The reasoning behind this move, IMO, could have as much to do with the latest suicide taking place, where a Robinhood trader thought he had owed a fortune, when in reality it was something else, and the trader simply didn't have a clue what he was doing. TVIX would certainly apply. Just about every day you'll read about TVIX the "stock" and how various individuals will hold into it for lengthy times as if it's a true investment with a buy and hold mentality. The move could just as easily been for liability purposes.
