IPIX is probably not able to get separate patent for covid treatment. Why patenting worked for OM? It seems that IPIX got something called method patent i.e. they patented swishing with specified, novel mixture of salts. Administering B via IV with commonly used IV fluids is not novel by itself.
It's a weird world, method patents especially. My wife tried to educate me on this stuff. I still don't understand.
