Unlike most folks, I do not like so many popularly watched shows as them all. Unfortunately, for me there are few must watch episodes (a la The Sopranos), or frequent new classics in any genre, that accord with my tastes. Bottom line, have just a limited crew or posse of classic movies or shows I can watch maybe as often as once a year. Use to be a time I could never re-watch a show I saw unless 15 years passed and I forgot so much of it, but each year less stuff I value to see.
Anyway I have a solution worth billions and wish I had an extra billion to test this idea. Get to that in a minute.
Also, just to be clear, I find it harder and harder to watch any movie or play in a live audience as I detest the suspected inappropriate laughing or comments distracting me from a "pure" showing. On first viewing I need to watch my stuff clean in a hermetically sealed setting........ yet my wife can watch movies over and over again, almost weekly the same material, enjoying saying some of the lines before it is uttered. And I may get sucked into watching this rehashed stuff from time to time, and entertain myself by yelling out comments realizing it probably cannot spoil the necessary silence a first viewing may require for my wife. Now my comments conform to my own taste or idiosyncrasies.
So this big idea is that all that raw content which grows stale can all be refreshed with having various skilled personalities vie to have their comments narrated in sync with every movie or original material ever made ( this occurs in documentaries). There are so many publicly known notables I would be curious enough to watch in a new subverted reconfiguration of a media event again, just to hear their comments of what they notice which I perhaps missed to understand , appreciate or find amusing, all because the intended elements in the movie may almost be beside the point, as even a misinterpretation could be worthy of an interesting thought.
Got to look for a billionaire to line up with this idea.
