East Stone Acquisition Corporation (the “Company”) is a blank check company incorporated in the British Virgin Islands on August 9, 2018. The Company was incorporated for the purpose of acquiring, engaging in a share exchange, share reconstruction and amalgamation with, purchasing all or substantially all of the assets of, entering into contractual arrangements with, or engaging in any other similar business combination with one or more businesses or entities (the “Business Combination”). Although the Company is not limited to a particular industry or geographic region for purposes of consummating a Business Combination, the Company intends to focus on businesses primarily operating in the financial services industry or businesses providing technological services to the financial industry, commonly known as “fintech businesses” in the regions of North America and Asia-Pacific. The Company is an emerging growth company and, as such, the Company is subject to all of the risks associated with emerging growth companies.
