He was involved with another stock I was in that went bankrupt. (No fault of his). From the stock board many years ago:
Let’s talk about Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong…

Known facts:
- Between 3/14/12 and 3/16/12, he spent $3.6MM of his own funds (Global Grid’s “internal sources”) to purchase, at that time, a full 25.9% of the company.
- On 11/2/12, 7 ½ months later, he re-filed w/ the SEC that he had not sold a single share of those.
- The reason stated for his purchasing a full quarter plus of NeoMedia on the open market was for “investment purposes”.
- The term, “investment purposes”, can mean any of a variety of things.
- At the time of his investment of a 25+% purchase of NeoMedia on the open market that there were “no contracts, arrangements, understandings or relationships among the persons named in Item 2 (him/Global Grid, LLC) above and between such persons and any person with respect to any securities of NEOM.”
o But, what does that really mean?
** It only means that on the date of his initial filing the SCHED 13D on 3/20/12 that held true.
** Note that the only reason for his filing of the SCHED 13D/A on 11/2/12 was to re-state his ownership of NeoMedia w/ respect to the O/S increase. His share count never dropped but his % ownership did.
- He has a vision to change the way communication is accomplished throughout the world medical community which involves mobile communication and data transfer.
