It is not a bad thing. It is done for a purpose
Now for your information the shareholders value does not change the moment of the split. If its a 1 for 10 the share holder gets 1 share for each 10 shares split but that i share goes up in value 10 times. Unfortunately it usually goes down after that, because of lack of understanding of what the company is trying to accomplish. An investor must understand a company would not do the split if it was going to harm them. What the investor should question is the reason for it. Once they find out they may well jump in and buy the hell out of the stock. I have been investing for over 65 years and it never ceases to amaze me how little the investor knows, What is even worse is they ask for guidance from people that know less then them.
