I just don't see why a reverse split is seen on this board as bad or even controversial
A reverse split is seen by some as "bad or even controversial" for the same reason a junior-to-common conversion is: it destroys hopes of the commons going to some high price (unsupported by any math), and even removes the reason to own the commons at all with the juniors trading as low as they do.
