Notice the stark difference in tones from the CEOs. FNMA CEO doesn't sound too thrilled. Fmcc CEO sounds thrilled and says he wants this to start ASAP.

Most of the work of a merger or buyout imo will be to decide which groups to layoff at FNMA and fmcc. I think most of the worthless groups are at FNMA.

They must be doing this very very soon. The employees are all working from home now until possibly the end of July ( I think, I know we are). They have to do this now. Easy to layoff people if they are already at home....
