We all have seen folks who will pick a passage of Scripture to fit their need and ignore what comes before and after, well this morning on fb a person was using little pieces of the Beatitudes to attempt to make a point, used a few words then left out the important words....anyway, later I thought that maybe sometimes we humans think of Scripture in human terms/ earthly terms, while Jesus is speaking in heavenly terms. Many times folks I have heard have said the Bible says "we are not to judge"----true, but if we read on we see that we are judging against what we ourselves do. I will in a few weeks be 77, but years ago my dad taught me how important it is to read what comes before and after a passage in order to clearly understand. Every day I learn how little I really know, but am thankful for what little I do know and I 100% appreciate different thoughts on different Scriptures. God Bless and have a great day
