The other day I put out a thing about my back pain and Philippians 4:13.....A second thought here....."I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."..... today I wondered if maybe when read, folks think on divine healing, I will dwell on this and then I will be made well again,,,,I know a lady who once was bed ridden and came across this passage and for days just kept saying it over and over again, then one morning she awoke and just got out of bed like nothing had ever been wrong, now to her she thought of this passage as divine healing.......now again, another thought, "through Christ who strengthens me".....Christ offers the strength and courage to deal what is upon us....no matter what, physical, emotionally, whatever befalls us, Christ will give us the strength to carry us through. I know all of this may not ring a bell with y'all, but for whatever reason these thoughts just will not leave me----This morning before opening my Bible I ask God to give a message....I just opened my Bible to Psalm 119:65-72---"You have dealt well with Your servant,
O Lord, according to Your word.
66 Teach me good judgment and knowledge,
For I believe Your commandments.
67 Before I was afflicted I went astray,
But now I keep Your word.
68 You are good, and do good;
Teach me Your statutes.
69 The proud have forged a lie against me,
But I will keep Your precepts with my whole heart.
70 Their heart is as fat as grease,
But I delight in Your law.
71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted,
That I may learn Your statutes.
72 The law of Your mouth is better to me
Than thousands of coins of gold and silver.---------
Then in the notes..."Why does God sometimes afflict His people?----1---To get us back to where we belong,,,vrs. 67----2---to teach us important life lessons that then we can teach others,,,vrs. 71-----3---to help us know that God is faithful---vrs 75----
then it is mentioned that when God afflicts us, it is always in faithfulness, He hurts us to to help us......
