Strange how Scripture can be made so clear at times. In some respects this is a pinch humorous, but allow me to share a personal experience...........back about 10 years ago my back went out and I had to have surgery, well almost 5 weeks ago that ole back went hay-wire again, now the way things go now days we have to jump through about 10,000 steps to get something fixed, my doctor is now setting up a MRI, then back the the surgeon to see what's what......this thing has at times been so painful I could not even hold a 16 oz. bottle of water and all the other stuff to go along with sciatica junk.....Now to the point----A few nights ago I woke really early say around 3 or 4 a.m., laid in bed thinking of my brother who is fighting cancer and as I lay there talking with God --Philippians 4:13 came to mind- I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me----I repeated that verse some where 50 to 100 times throughout the day, my back did not hurt for 2 full days, I was so thankful and really felt touched, then this morning I almost could not get out of bed, pain was something else, then I found some humor in it all and my wife thought I had gone nuts, nothing here to laugh at......but I explained that I think God was giving me 1st hand Bible study-----I had clearly understood Paul's Philippians 4:13 and now I can really identify with David in many of his Psalms where he wonders if God has turned his back on him.....why have you forsaken me etc, etc.-----You may not, but I do see or feel some humor here, then It came to me how often I--we--read Scripture and maybe really don't 100% understand.......I think maybe there is a big difference in reading Scripture and putting yourself in there as if this was written personally to you....I read it, now what is this really trying to tell me..
