Yes, they are. I would not be surprised if some equity firms are loading up. Just too many 'rumors' for this too not become a buyout. People don't under the situation. Amazon in order to compete with Walmart needs stores because people do still love to go shopping. They just don't need the amount of stores Walmart has, but JCP with the amount of stores it plans to have left over is a good number. People believe it's just so easy to create a pipeline & private labels like JCP already has. It's easier to buy a 'distressed' company with these things already, than to try and start from scratch.
