It was weird how there was a company that did a deal with Wahupta Ventures. The company was named New Way Hemp. Some 10 million dollar hemp processing deal. Remember who pretty much owns Wahupta? Redfund Capital, who was also dealing with Biolog Inc... Anyways, the two guys running New Way Hemp were John Greene and Gregory Capalino.

Gregory Capalino also worked for a hemp company Lilus Garden. Supposed to be the largest hemp company out there. Lilus Garden had contracts in place to process 60,000 acres of hemp in 2019. Back then they were saying $50k per acre of hemp. Then there was some other guy that worked for Lilus Garden who went to work for Acreage Holdings.

John Greene was acquiring dispensary licenses for TILT Holdings in Massachusetts. Pat Scorzelli was acquiring licenses for Acreage Holdings in Massachusetts. Anyways, TILT filings say that John Greene sold CAC (Commonwealth Alternative Care) to Sea Hunter Holdings. Per TILT filings John Greene also has a company named ACRG Holdings. Interesting coincidence... Sea Hunter Holdings has a deal to buy Terradiol at some point, which Acreage Holdings owns. Don’t some of our DUTV/LTC boys have connections to Terradiol?

John Greene was also behind the LivWell Colorado dispensaries. There was a LiveWell Canada hemp company who had some hemp supply deal with Canopy Growth. Canopy Growth is buying out Acreage Holdings. LiveWell Canada merged with Vitality CBD out of Montana. Those guys grew like 10,000 acres of hemp back in 2018 or something.

Growing hemp has more to offer than just CBD oil. CBD is easily converted to THC in a lab. When the cannabis CPG industry gets into full swing, the demand for THC and CBD will be massive. Seems like these guys are working behind the scenes alongside some major players to build the infrastructure to meet that demand.

Seems like a pretty extensive web of companies that these guys at DUTV are involved with. This could get interesting. I just wonder which company our $90k went to help startup...
