That is why I was looking at the high-yield divvies. It occurs that most regain their pre-divvy price within 3-4 days of ex-div. Is 10% in 3-4 days too low a yield?

My primary interest is these are known events. It's a guarantee that the price will drop the divvy on the ex-div date. The climb back up is not gauranteed but occurs more often than not.
