My guess would be that the deal announcement was being front run. Most likely word had leaked out that a deal was going to be announced and the shares ran up in front of the announcement. After the announcement was made the shares sold off some and settled here. That happens quite often.

I even made the call I suspected news was coming because of the way the shares were moving up and I had no clue that news was coming. I just suspected it could happen by the way the shares were moving up for no reason.
