I know that in your world, releasing false information is not illegal or even immoral. However, in the real world, a company that releases false information will have committed a criminal act and will face criminal charges. It isn't very likely here. Most white collar businessmen do not want to go to jail or even stain their reputation. Furthermore, all the stellar developments happening now, are years in the making.
