Assuming that they are successful in miniaturizing the device into the UBand, I don't see how the FDA would not approve it. There are more than a dozen testing devices on the market (all with FDA approval) and the UBand will be more accurate than most/all of them. Moreover, the UBand will be much more convenient and economical than the other devices on the market. On top of this, Know Labs has an experienced diabetes researcher (from Abbott Labs) leading the development and NDA process and they have a couple of key heavyweights from diabetes research/treatment on their advisory board.

I would be surprised if the FDA doesn't fast-track the approval of this device.
