If nothing else, we might be able to actually see reported short interest. Would any brokers do what they do for stocks on the OTC? If they hide the real interest to protect their large investors (and hopefully make better money or garner loyalty) then the effect on other potential shorters is muted. Large short interest scares people. This is why you need the sugar daddy investment money I've spoken of in the past. Shorters will play unless it costs them. You need a large company of investment banker interests to spank them when they show up......but the fundies have to be there too.
