panzer6, that news is old from a viewpoint that MB was contributing privately to a shareholder his desire to stop shorting, and bring a true and balanced view... of both the share price and share-count to investors alike.

MB mentioned "We are contemplating this in
conjunction with a dividend we may issue.
Contemplating means [to look at or view with continued attention], which he is.
MB mentioned "in conjunction with a dividend we-may-issue".
As in we-may-issue...
So in all fairness, even though most of us think he shouldn't have made that statement, there is nothing about news coming out now, nor in the future with certainty!
MB is/was very serious about a possible Nobo_List going forward to counter any further shorting. But to say it's coming isn't fruitful to anyone concerned.
It's also easy to see how the person in which he wrote too, if he wrote it exactly like that... said
"I-AM-SURE" "We'll-BE-SEEING"
Is truly a false statement in of itself!
They are working on creating shareholder value through a number of avenues including a better IR system, mech for counting shares, and a process in which to release news pertinent to the mortgage industry. There are a number of issues in which SFNN could state per a PR relating to the industry, and how this encompasses SFNN.
In the next month or so we'll start to see a number of these issues cleared up, and a company a lot more focused on shareholder value...
