And also in all my many years of doing Business in China, sample costs were always higher that actual order costs (except for one company who sent a few free cotter pins that were worth less than 1 cent each but I still had to pay the shipping)

Your free Chicken sampler illustration has no relation here. Dablood didn't need to give out discounted or free samples for something that was in high demand.

The Darui/Dablood/Daan sales guy didn't say anything about different costs for sample and actual order. We discussed quantities and costs. He sent me the price list. I still have it. We were very clear on pricing and quantities.

His price list said 925 yuan for a box of 50 but when I went to order one box he demanded a bit more due to price fluctuation. My cost in mid April was about $150 for a box of 50 ie $3 each roughly.

I expect the prices have increased since my purchase but $5.5M is more than enough to buy the tests, especially in April. Perhaps buying today is a different story but as we all know the order is a couple months old so we shouldn't need to worry about the price today :)

Anyone who is LONG / PRO PRED / GO PRED / PRED CAN DO NO WRONG here won't believe me anyway so just give them a call yourself and get the current price.
