***WARNING*** Boring story with a moral.

I'm from Chicago - born and raised. In Chicago, you are either a Cubs or a Sox fan (always a Bears fan). Me, a North-sider. Our motto was always, "wait 'til next year." I was a Cubs fan as a little 10 year kid. I sucked as a player, but loved the game. 1969 - blew it. 1984 - blew it. 2003 - blew it (think Steve Bartmann).

One of the Cubs biggest problems was management (like many companies). We never really had a winning attitude in Chicago. "Lovable Losers" But in 2013, the Cubs hired Theo Epstein. Who is he? In his 2nd year, he took the Boston Red Sox to their first World Series title since 1918 to break the "The Curse of the Bambino" when the Red Sox traded Babe Ruth to the New York Yankees. Theo was smart and used analytics to get the most out of each player and give his team an edge. Aside from that, he was known as a great bargainer who could make great trades (acquisitions) to build a championship team.

When the Tribune sold the team to lifelong Cubs fan Tom Rickets, he vowed to bring a World Series to Chicago (last one in 1908). His decision, hire the best General Manager in Baseball. The slogan for Cubs fans was "In Theo we trust." It wouldn't be easy. It wouldn't happen overnight. But in 2016, 3 years after hiring Theo, the Cubs had the best in baseball and won game 7 of the World Series in game 7 against the Indians. "In Theo we trust"

Ok, here's the moral. DON"T FREAK OUT!! We hired a great CEO. "In John we trust." If the management team believes a R/S is the direction they want to go, even though John said "it was NOT imminent," then we have to trust that John is doing this in the best interest of the company and for its shareholders. He has a great track record. Look it up! He knows his sh*t. The company has already been making great moves. Just like Theo, John will make acquisitions -- that was what he was known for at Coach. He will build this company better than she ever was. It won't happen overnight, but we already have revenues, and a debt reduction plan. It's coming together, folks. Please don't barrage John with emails giving him your opinion on R/S. Have some faith. If you are locked and loaded long, step away from the computer for a while. Enjoy time with your family. Your wife (or husband) will enjoy you staring at them instead of your computer.

R/S or not, we are moving into dollar land, and I believe that will happen sooner rather than later. So just relax and enjoy the ride.

I would rather make $5 million dollars and help others than make $10 million off the backs of others.
