"I have no idea other than shareholder alerts don’t cost anything, other than a possible filing fee to EDGAR."

(In response to "Why do you suppose that the Company chose to limit the distribution of the news that Brilacidin has a feature that "distinguishes it from all other known anti-SARS-CoV-2 drug candidates in development" to a Shareholder Alert"?")

The Shareholder Alert WAS attached to an 8-K filing (it had to be due to fair disclosure rules) so no filing fee would have been avoided...if there was a filing fee. There is no filing fee for an 8-K filing (or a 10-Q or a 10-K fwiw).

"PRs are not free"
No doubt about that, yet they issued a PR 2 days before and another 5 days after the Shareholder Alert and neither seemed to include anything as momentous as this:
"Brilacidin’s potent virucidal ability to rapidly inactivate (essentially “kill”) the novel coronavirus upon contact distinguishes it from all other known anti-SARS-CoV-2 drug candidates in development."

"This platform charges a lot to distribute PRs, independent of mainstream business pubs."
It has been a long, long time since IPIX published a release through this platform (a separate but interesting issue). IPIX currently uses Globe Newswire and they have done so to publish 7 press releases in the last two months...the Company isn't afraid to spend the money.

"Still, minimum distribution wouldn’t cost much. So, who knows why."
One person knows.

We frequently hear of the value of new eyes to the investment prospects of IPIX shares. Leaving such a statement hidden under a tab in the website seems really odd to me.

I'm tryin ta think but nuttin happens......Curly
