Its Memorial Day so I checked my American Patriot's Bible to see if there was anything set aside for this day. Never fails I learned something this morning, remember JFK's words---"Do not ask what your country can do for you, rather ask what you can do for your country", well I learned that Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes jr., said in his Memorial Day address back in 1884---"It is now the moment when by common consent we pause to become conscious of our national life and to rejoice in it, to recall what our country has done for each of us, and to ask ourselves what we can do for our country in return."

Way back a few thousand years ago, in the days of Moses, remember the Passover?, well God said "this day shall be a memorial and you shall keep it........................If one reads of folks way back in Old Testament times, often when 2 or more would come to an agreement over an important matter they would stack up some stones as a memorial to remind them of their agreement. As you can see memorial days have been around for a very long time, today we remember on Memorial Day the thousands upon thousands of men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice so we can live in this great country we call America, the USA---------May God Bless America------
