7am is when E*Trade (and most brokers) allows p/m buying. Yes, I often play these because if there is a lot of trading before the 7am open for most traders they can make a nice run in the 7:00-9:30 normal p/m and then often another surge at the 9:30 bell. Pre 7:00am is usually big Market Makers and institutional buyers-In other words the Whales :) If they are buying, it’s often but not always a good sign.
