$TLSS - Easy buy into dollars when looking at the big picture.


$AMZN shares at $2493 as of this post.


Amazon quietly began offering its delivery infrastructure as a service by shipping third-party parcels in direct competition with carriers UPS and Fedex.


Truth is, they are doing it now and $TLSS gets its value in being a part of Amazon's goal.



Over the last +five years Amazon has been acquiring and building-out a shipping infrastructure so they can control the shipping on the products from the loading docks at manufacturers' in China, to the ports in the countries where they have distribution centers, AND, also the shipping from those distribution centers to the customer doorstep.


Not an easy feat to switch out container shipping, freight forwarding contractors, air freight, and last mile delivery. They stood on the shoulders of USPS, FedEx, UPS, and many others to get where they are, and now they are increasing profits and level of service by successfully building their own shipping service layers.


Amazon also writes their own software which gives them complete control to develop, implement, integrate, refine, and debug, all the logistics needed to make it all work.


You can bet that $TLSS already has Amazon software solutions running internally to be a part of their delivery ecosystem.



Here's some proof of the Amazon shipping layer(s) build-out:

1. Amazon acquires branded intermodal containers

"The Journal of Commerce has learned Amazon has acquired 53-foot containers, signaling an intention to tender intermodal volume directly to Class I railroads without an intermediary and marketing itself as an end-to-end supply chain solution for small retailers."



2. Amazon pushing hard into ocean shipping, making it easier for Chinese goods to get to you

“This makes them the only e-commerce company that is able to do the whole transaction from end-to-end. Amazon now has a closed ecosystem,” said Steve Ferreira, CEO of Ocean Audit


3. Amazon Air leases another 10 large jets, adding capacity to its growing delivery network

"The planes are part of Amazon’s growing delivery network that also includes more than 10,000 truck trailers that travel to and from more than 185 fulfillment centers worldwide."


4. Amazon Air will make San Bernardino International Airport (60 miles east of Los Angeles) a regional air hub

“The Regional Air Hub is being built from the ground up to fit Amazon Air’s operational needs, including the use of solar power and electric ground support equipment. We look forward to opening the facility in 2021.”


5. Aiming to lock down truckload capacity, Amazon goes nationwide with its freight brokerage

"Amazon intends to be more transparent with shippers and carriers in its pricing, said Krieg, who contends that Amazon can offer cheaper rates to shippers while maintaining market-dictated rates (or better) for carriers — a method that would help the company lock in parties on both sides of the freight transaction."
