"The virus that causes COVID-19 is thought to spread mainly from person to person, mainly through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes. These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs. Spread is more likely when people are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet)"
So as long as your not letting someone cough on you, you wont get those droplets and get infected.

According to CDC, surfaces only need to be cleaned daily, not in between uses. As long as you're not touching your nose, mouth or face after touching a publicly facing object, you're fine. Also, if youre not used to cleaning your hands after touching stuff the rest of the public can, youre probably part of the problem.
