If you read about PrimeAxess, etc plan, it's a self funded medical plan. No small company can afford to take that risk or should they. It leaves people and companies open to unnecessary bankruptcy due to medical bills. Only very large organizations can afford to self fund their major medical plan because they are able to manage and spread the risk. There are plenty of options for self employed people to get good health insurance for a fair price.
