[OT] VRX / ICN Pharma: That ribavirin ended up being synergistic with interferon and becoming part of the standard of care in chronic hepatitis C was an amazing stroke of luck. ICN licensed ribavirin to both SGP and Roche, and each of those companies bundled ribavirin with its house brand of interferon in a maneuver that made users raving mad.

In addition to the chicanery you alluded to, Panic essentially embezzled money from the company and ICN had to sue to get it back.
