I truly doubt that he would rather let it fail rather than selling the company and providing bigger profits along the way . To assume that a ceo is that naive and has absolutely no common sense is too much for me to even comprehend. On the other hand he can play this negotiation game until he hears the right offer which will come sooner or later if it involves repaying the lender back . It can either end two ways . For him to wait until he hears a figure he likes or wait till it’s too late it’s not a win win situation if he decides to only profit from the company rather than providing another form of income off the selling of the company. To maintain a company takes money and time for him to sell it will release his burden and responsibility that comes with running a company . Plus if he is not willing to show revenue and demand from the company and its potential than he will only decrease the appeal of value to potential takeover bids .
