Considering that Intel spent 1/3 of a $Billion on Centrino marketing, selling 2M of them 6 months after intro seems to me a Pyrrhic victory.

Even Intel admits that they oversold the Centrino. I suspect they are production-limited at ~2M/Q. They need the chip lines for doubling die sizes with bigger cache.
