VelocityShares Daily 2x VIX ST ETN (TVIX)

Yeah, tempting to let it ride since it moves up so fast.

My simplistic sense of TVIX provides me two alternative plays:

1. Scalp on day trades using charts, but move fast as hell.

2. If you’re expecting a serious sell-off like we had this week, hold overnight/multi-night with money that you’re willing to watch fluctuate in a very intense and nerve-wracking way, and, more importantly, that you’re willing to watch get cut by 20-30 percent on any given opening.

That being said, there seems to be a lot of very experienced traders of this mystical instrument on this board worth listening to.
